Magma's electronic design automation software products are used by the world's major semiconductor manufacturers to design some of the most complex and highest-performing integrated circuits being made today.
An advanced IC implementation system that offers unequaled automation and virtually unlimited capacity. With Talus, Magma provides true electronic design automation, rather than providing mere electronic design assistance, as traditional tools in the industry have. Talus dramatically reduces the design development cycle and design costs, and speeds yield ramp-up for very large ICs targeted at 65-nanometer (nm) and smaller process geometries. Core products include Talus Design, Hydra and Talus Vortex and Talus Vortex FX. With Talus Power Pro, Magma provides advanced low-power design capabilities.
Titan Analog/Mixed-Signal Implementation SolutionsTitan provides the most advanced design technology for analog/mixed-signal design, analysis and layout. Titan implementation solutions enhance analog designer productivity and enable analog design reuse.
The Titan Mixed-Signal Design Platform is the first full-chip mixed-signal design environment. Titan tightly integrates analog implementation and verification while delivering first-time-correct, predictable mixed-signal designs. Unlike other design solutions, Titan also integrates digital implementation providing a quantum leap in efficiency for mixed-signal chip development. Based on Magma’s unified data model, Titan works seamless with Magma’s Talus digital IC implementation, FineSim Pro circuit simulation and Quartz DRC and Quartz LVS physical verification products.
The Titan Analog Design Accelerators provide new options to analog designers facing increasingly complex challenges in custom circuit design. Titan Accelerators are comprised of four plug-and-play design solutions – Titan ADX, Titan AVP, Titan ALX and Titan SBR – based on the latest advances in analog/mixed-signal design technology. The Titan Accelerators enable analog IP reuse, enhance rapid design exploration and optimization, dramatically improve layout productivity, and automate process porting at both the schematic and layout levels.
Tekton is a new timing analysis platform that offers significantly higher capacity and dramatically faster runtimes than traditional tools, without sacrificing accuracy. Unlike other solutions, Tekton runs multi-scenario analysis efficiently on low-cost hardware without requiring a large number of expensive servers and software licenses. Leveraging breakthrough technology, this revolutionary new platform addresses complex sign-off challenges and is uniquely suited for today’s most challenging designs. The Tekton platform includes QCP, a fast, high-capacity, full-chip extractor that delivers results with the accuracy of the industry standard, QuickCap®. QCP’s architecture enables efficient multi-corner extraction with minimal increases in runtime as additional process, voltage and temperature (PVT) corners are added for each process node migration. Built on a similar architecture to Tekton, QCP is fully multi-threaded for near linear performance on up to 32 CPUs. Tekton and QCP can be used together in a single STA timing session for very fast and accurate “what-if” analysis for engineering change orders (ECOs).
Magma's advanced circuit simulation engines with distributed processing enable simulation of entire mixed-signal systems on a chip (SoCs) at the transistor level. Integrated into the Magma RTL-to-GDSII flow or used standalone, FineSim Pro and FineSim SPICE provide increased speed, accuracy and capacity, allowing users to reduce design and verification costs as they create smaller, faster and more power-efficient chips.
Designers can shorten design cycles and improve chip performance with models generated by SiliconSmart for timing, power and signal integrity. When used with popular construction and verification tools, these models enhance silicon predictability and designer productivity.
Magma's Quartz DRC and Quartz LVS enable designers to verify any design in 2 hours or less. Talus qDRC increases productivity by providing sign-off quality DRC from within the implementation environment.
